Though more research is underway to really prove the said benefits of massaging as a therapy, certain studies have confirmed certain benefits like relieving stress, muscle tension, pain, myofascial pain syndrome and even improving conditions like digestive disorders, headaches, anxiety, and insomnia.

Other than the benefits, some people enjoy this therapy since it produces feelings of comfort, connection, and caring. Nevertheless, it is not meant to be a replacement for the regular medical care. You should, therefore not abandon standard treatments plans even if you are trying massage.
