Christmas doesn’t need to just be about cookies! If you fancy yourself more of a cupcake person, here’s a quick way to add a little festive fun to them! Craft up these easy Christmas tree toppers, “lit” up with candy lights, for your holiday party guests to enjoy!
To make these cupcake toppers, you need green card stock, scissors, candy covered sunflower seeds, small wooden dowels or Popsicle sticks, and a hot glue gun.
Cut triangles of various sizes out of the card stock.
Using your hot glue gun, carefully glue candies to each triangle, in whatever pattern you like. (Remember, the candies on the tree will not be edible after they are glued.)
Run a line of hot glue along the top inch or so of a wooden dowel and secure it to the back of a card stock triangle. Repeat with remaining triangles.
Pop each topper into a cupcake, add some more candy “lights” to the frosting and you have a whole forest of Christmas tree treats!
